genetic music

Here's a fun project by London based design duo Dentaku: converting SMS digits into sounds to make music.

The most popular analogy for bio-hacking these days is its comparison to computer hacking. As I mentioned before, Craig Verner wants to convert DNA code into digital signal. What if it could be converted into something else, something a bit more fun and playful, like sounds? What if you could make music with your genome, or the DNA extracted from a strawberry? What would different people, different bacteria and different organisms sound like?
